A Big (Little) Announcement!

Eamon McRory Rogers

Just over a week ago, we welcomed the latest addition to our family – a sweet little boy who has already captured our hearts with his remarkable eating, sleeping and pooping prowess. Eamon McRory Rogers was born last Friday, July 18th at 10:24PM, weighing in at a respectable 8 pounds, 5 ounces, and measuring 21 inches in length. After 41 weeks and 6 full days of pregnancy, suffice it to say we were all very happy to finally meet him.

Big brother Quinlan celebrated his third birthday over the weekend, as well. He is delighted to have a baby brother and can’t wait to teach him how to play cars. He enjoyed a special birthday breakfast-for-dinner at the picnic table in his new backyard play structure.

Quinlan's 3rd Birthday

I’ve been laid up a bit with a nasty bout of pregnancy-related sciatica, which has been a bummer to say the least. Fortunately, I have the most wonderful, supportive family who has helped care for both me and the kids while I search for answers and, most importantly, relief for what ails me. I am truly blessed in so many ways!

And yes, maybe still a wee bit hormonal/emotional, too…. 🙂
