So glad to be back after a little six-week ‘vacation’ for Friday Family-Friendly Finds! When I did the One Room Challenge last fall, I had just started this feature, so I kept doing them and had three blog posts per week during that time. It was a little too much! Anyway, I’m happy to feature my latest find, which is actually something I discovered at High Point Market last month – and I think might have actually been my final stop before heading out to the airport. I almost missed it way up on the top floor of the Suites at Market Square!
This rose gold-finished metal crib from the Aussie juvenile line Incy Interiors literally stopped my in my tracks (I was trying to book it out of there, after all, and I thought I had ‘seen it all’ at that point!). I have never seen a crib with this kind of finish – so unique! It seemed very sturdy, but of course my first question was regarding safety, since the company isn’t based inside the U.S. Every country has its own safety standards – did it meet ours? The answer was yes. And not only does it meet U.S. standards, it also adheres to regulations in the U.K., Australia, Canada, and New Zealand.
For example, this is the bottom of the crib. It is built like a bed with a very sturdy platform (except with very wide slats), not a spring system that you typically see. I was impressed. The finishes are also non-toxic and free of VOC’s.
It’s a little confusing to me that each of these cribs has a different name (rather than having one model name with multiple finish options), but aren’t these great colors? Happy to see the chocolate brown! There is a chrome/silver finish not pictured. I also LOVED the navy, which they also had on display.
Aren’t these totally refreshing and different? And the price points make these a nice value – MSRP is $799 for the metal finishes, and $699 for painted colors. Incy has some great styles in wood for beds, cribs and accompanying pieces, as well (the mint green finish was a favorite there!).
Have a fantastic weekend! xoxo
