After a topsy-turvy, over-scheduled week, all I want to do when today is done is put my feet up and RELAX. With a generously-poured glass of wine and tall stack of back-issue shelter magazines close-by, of course!
The aptly-named Tray Chic Ottoman from Bunny Williams Home really delivers the best of many worlds, and takes the concept of a table ottoman to a whole new level. I am the kind of person that likes to have my feet up, and this ottoman gives you the ability to do that even in a more ‘formal’ living space, with design details like large nailhead trim, button-tufting, and those signature beehive-style legs. The center fitted tray is your true coffee table, but it is also removable if you want to use it for serving guests (or relocating an empire of Legos 🙂 ). And just think of how many people could sit on it, in a pinch! How nice to have a table-like surface nearby even with ’emergency’ seating.
As you can see, this is no ordinary ottoman. It also features the very best in furniture construction methods and materials, and is priced accordingly. And just look how that tufting detail runs all the way down the apron. Made in the USA, too!
The Tray Chic Ottoman comes in two sizes: the large 48″ square shown, and a slightly smaller, but still generously-proportioned rectangular style that shaves about a foot off the depth.
Fabric choices for the ottoman include several colorways of Ultrasuede, which is one of my go-to performance fabrics because it is extremely durable and stain-resistant (I posted about Ultrasuede humorously on Instagram recently). If you have never experienced this fabric, you should check it out. It is not a typical microfiber – it really feels different, very close to actual suede leather, and it has a more elegant look.
I love this combination of the Alpine White wood finish with Azure Ultrasuede.
